Pintrest Addiction

My name is Sherry and I am addicted to Pintrest.
I know some folks don't get this, but for me it is a dream come true! I want to make that, I want to try that, that's perfect--now show me where to find instructions to do it! My daughter is equally as bad. "Mom, we need to go to hobby lobby. Look at this cool thing I found on Pintrest!"
Additionally, it's like window shopping from my sofa. You can see great outfits put together, figure out a new hairstyle, and picture your future outdoor living space. Right now, I'm checking to see if I have everything I need to make a chocolate Swiss roll! Got to love pintrest for getting me excited about baking before I even roll out of bed!!

Let's Get Crafty!

Three hour project...not exactly. This is Emalyn's nap mat cover, blanket and pillow. I'm really proud of it! I read some guidelines on the Internet and here is my finished project! I did require some help (thanks Steph!), and thanks to the blog sewlikemymom.com

Good Morning!

Momma and her two babies are regular visitors in the mornings. They seem to be getting less bothered by our presence --and they are freaking me out a little less.

Brothers of the Sun

Took my girls to see this concert. It was incredible!! My friend Jon plays guitar for KC, and he was kind enough to take us back stage.....making me "mom of the year" for a full hour! Thanks Jon! Great mom/daughter weekend in Kansas City.

Chicken Little

Anyone who knows me would be surprised to find out that we have chickens. Twenty-five laying hens to be exact. Do you have any idea how many eggs that is? Did you know they give chickens a bath before going to the fair? Reminds me of Charlotte's Web, when they gave Wilber a buttermilk bath before going to the fair. I'm adjusting to farm animals...kind of.

Technology Challenged...

I am making an effort to get back here...but technology is slapping me in the face- again. What you see on the screen is an effort to fix things up a bit. Yes, I know the colors don't match and things are not lined up. I attempted to change the format and the background. Something happy to get me motivated to blog. I have ended up with quite an assortment of colors and backgrounds all on one.

I don't know how I did it.

We will all just deal with it, until further notice...

I have been a slacker as far as the blog goes. Over the next few days, I hope to catch up. Today's is Arkansas Express. My son plays on this team, I am so proud of him! He has grown so much during this season both physically and social/emotional.
